From May 4–8, 2026, schools across the nation are recognizing National Teacher Appreciation Week, a time dedicated to honoring the educators and support professionals who make a lasting impact on students every day.

In the Buckeye Union High School District, this week serves as an opportunity to express gratitude not only to teachers, but also to the many individuals who support student success behind the scenes. From counselors who guide students through academic and personal challenges, to paraprofessionals and classified staff who help keep classrooms and campuses running smoothly, each plays a vital role in shaping a positive learning environment.

Superintendent Dr. Bebee shared his appreciation, stating, β€œPlease join me in thanking the many outstanding teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals, and classified support staff that make a difference in the lives of students every day. Thank you all for everything that you do for our students, their families, and our communities.”

Every day, BUHSD educators go beyond instruction - building relationships, encouraging growth, and helping students prepare for their futures. Their work extends beyond the classroom, impacting families and strengthening the broader community.

As we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week, the district extends its sincere thanks to all staff members for their continued dedication and service.

Thank you for everything you do for our students, their families, and our community.
