Welcome to the first day of school! Check the courtyard for your first period class by student ID. You'll get a full schedule in class. Sophomores to seniors can also use StudentVue for schedules. Download the StudentVue (New) app for updates. Attend all classes on your schedule from day one, as counselors won't make changes. Embrace the new year with enthusiasm!

Freshman Orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4th, from 7:20 AM to 12:25 PM. This is an exciting opportunity for new students to familiarize themselves with the school environment, meet peers, and learn about the upcoming academic year. For those who usually ride the bus, transportation will be provided. Make sure to report to your usual bus stop at your regular pick-up time to ensure a smooth and timely arrival. This orientation is a great way to start the school year on the right foot, so come prepared to engage, ask questions, and have fun!

Denise El Habach, GEAR UP Coach at Youngker High School, attended the National GEAR UP Conference in Washington, D.C., where she had the opportunity to reconnect with two Youngker alumni whose journeys were shaped by the GEAR UP program.

The alumni served on a conference panel, sharing how the guidance, encouragement, and support they received from GEAR UP, and coaches like Denise, helped them navigate high school, prepare for college, and build confidence for their future.

Moments like these are a powerful reminder that the impact of our educators extends far beyond graduation. We are incredibly proud of Denise and our Youngker alumni for representing YHS and demonstrating the lasting difference GEAR UP makes in the lives of students.

Seniors will have their exams on May 18th and 19th, while students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will take theirs on May 20th and 21st. Make sure to consult the exam schedule to confirm the times and periods for each of your tests. To maximize your performance, consider creating a study plan that allows you to review each subject thoroughly, ensuring you allocate time for breaks to maintain productivity. Remember to get plenty of rest the nights before your exams and eat a healthy breakfast to keep your energy levels up. Good luck!
